About us
Eurojuris International is a European Economic Interest Alliance of 18 groups of law firms. Not only does it groups about 650 firms and 5000 lawyers across Europe, it cooperates with reliable pre-selected correspondents world-wide. When consulting your nearest EUROJURIS law firm, you will not only have a worldwide legal access, your lawyer will contact the appropriate lawyer abroad or provide you with details about the legal practitioners you need to contact. In addition to this, all Eurojuris firms are defined by internal quality standards relating to fees, knowledge of foreign languages, promptness and confidentiality. We ensure that dynamic management procedures and work methods are tailored for the members' and clients' needs and are constantly improving. The Eurojuris' Headquarters have been ISO 9001 certified in 2005 and have sustained this qualification since then.
Eurojuris International started in the late 80's when Belgian lawyer Etienne Duvieusart discussed in the Benelux with likely-minded lawyers an ambitious pan-European project. They soon discovered that their clients required international reliable legal correspondents and they opened up links with France's leading regional network Interjuris France and UK's premier group of independent law firms LAWNET. Contacts were then taken all over Europe to set up associations of law firms. The eve of the Single Market in 1993 was the arrival of internationalisation in law firms. Few lawyers had been able to forecast this tremendous change in legal and judicial cooperation in Europe. Later that year, the national member associations invested into a permanent headquarters and staff to manage the organisation. The running of national activities, such as organising meetings, congresses and the promotion of specialists' groups, established a solid unity among different legal and business cultures.
Quality Policy
Our network of law firms develops a quality policy to the benefit of its member associations, the firms affiliated to these member associations and their clients. This is achieved more specifically via the ISO 9001 certification.
Our commitment is completed via the following measures:
- Management procedures and work methods are tailored to match the members' and clients' needs
- These methods are dynamic and opened to constant improvement
- All Eurojuris International executives and staff understand and implement the approved work methods
- Relevant logistical means are provided to the executives and staff to achieve their work
- Regular internal & external control procedures are implemented on a systematic basis
To ensure the quality of the firm's performance, EUROJURIS has imposed the "10 commandments" to its member firms. It has appointed on a permanent basis, one member of the Board to Quality. It has requested all national associations to appoint one National Quality Manager.
Rapidly, ISO has become an important issue for the EUROJURIS executives who encourage the member associations & firms to become certified. In 2004, some 43% of the member firms are either ISO certified, in course of certification or have declared themselves committed to ISO. 3 member associations have imposed the ISO certification as a criteria of affiliation and one member association has certified its secretariat.
Our permanent commitment to achieve a Total Quality finds its ultimate objective in our members' and clients' satisfaction who are the definitive assessors of our quality.
