Dr. Ingo Baumann is a founding partner of the law firm BHO Legal. He specializes in national and European high technology and research projects. His clients are primarily leading companies and institutions in the aerospace and telecommunications industries. Dr. Baumann studied law in Münster and Cologne. He received his doctorate from the Cologne Institute for Aerospace Law under Prof. Dr. Hobe on the international law of satellite communications. As a lawyer, he subsequently advised medium-sized companies in the field of satellite communications.
From 2001 to 2007, Dr. Baumann was responsible for the legal support of research and technology projects at the German Aerospace Center. From 2007 to the end of 2008, he was head of DLR e.V.'s project office for the European satellite navigation system Galileo and administrative director of DLR Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen mbH, a subsidiary of DLR e.V. for the establishment and operation of the Galileo Control Center. Dr Baumann is a guest lecturer at the University of Leiden and at the summer courses of the International Space University or the European Centre for Space Law.
