Simon is Chairman at Actons and a Director in the Corporate & Commercial team. Having been involved in various complex and high-value business transactions, Simon has particular expertise in acting for buyers, sellers and funders of businesses.

His daily role sees him working in our Corporate and Commercial team, an area of law which he has practised since qualifying as a solicitor and joining Actons, in 2003. Simon has sixteen years’ of experience advising SMEs, who typically turn over between £1M and £50M, and banks and alternative lenders on lending and security issues. His work with SMEs generally involves advising on business purchases and sales, investment into businesses, documents governing the relationship between business owners and the return of shareholder/investor capital. He also advises on various commercial agreements including agency, franchising, distribution and information technology.

Having been involved in various complex and high-value business transactions, Simon has particular expertise in acting for buyers, sellers and funders of businesses.

Simon became the Chairman at Actons in June 2019.
