A partner in the firm, Neil heads up the Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team. He deals with all aspects of insolvent and distressed businesses, including advising insolvency practitioners, directors and senior management, secured and unsecured creditors, as well as investors looking for opportunities to regenerate businesses. Neil is the first solicitor in the North East to have passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) exams. He is a member of the Insolvency Lawyers’ Association and The Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). He is currently the North East Regional Chair of R3. Neil is named and recommended as a ‘Leading individual’ in his field in independently researched guides to the UK legal profession, The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
